Helijet International is a helicopter airline and charter service based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It operates scheduled services and has a charter division (Helijet Charters) servicing the film, television, aerial tour and general charter markets, as well as air ambulance services. Its main base is Vancouver International Airport.[1]
Sightseeing tours are operated from the Vancouver Harbour Heliport located on the shores of Burrard Inlet, adjacent to Waterfront Station. In addition, Helijet Charters and partner Grouse Mountain operate spectacular scenic tours and packages from the helipad on the peak of the mountain. Helijet is also British Columbia's largest air medical service provider, operating both rotary and fixed wing medevac equipment.[2]

The airline was established in 1986 and started operations between Vancouver and Victoria in November 1986 with one aircraft and 14 staff members. It was formerly known as Helijet Airways. During the past 25 years of operation Helijet has grown from one scheduled aircraft with 14 staff carrying just 22,000 passengers into a diversified company with 15 aircraft, 150+ employees and carrying over 100,000 passengers per year. With US Helicopter now defunct, it is currently the only scheduled helicopter service in North America.
Helijet has also provided scheduled service to Seattle-Boeing Field, Abbotsford International Airport, Langley Airport, Victoria International Airport and Campbell River Airport, all of which are still destinations accessible by Helijet Charters' services. Helijet International also operates the Vancouver and Victoria Harbour Heliports under its wholly owned subsidiary, Pacific Heliport Services.
